        Platinum International Hotel, located in Putatan, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, is a well-known mid-to-high-end hotel with convenient transportation, close to Kota Kinabalu International Airport and local cultural attractions. It offers a variety of room types, including accessible single rooms, one-bedroom king suites and family rooms, as well as complete facilities such as conference rooms and restaurants serving traditional local cuisine. When we received the hotel’s customization request, the core demand was clear: furniture that meets high-frequency hotel use standards, fits the hotel’s warm and practical positioning, and subtly integrates with local cultural elements.

        Unlike luxury resorts that pursue excessive decoration, Platinum International Hotel focuses on comfort and functionality, which aligns with Dushang’s philosophy of “quality first, practicality first”. We set up a dedicated project team, communicated repeatedly with the hotel’s operation and design team, and even adjusted our plans according to Malaysia’s tropical climate characteristics — a key factor we paid special attention to.

         In material selection, we prioritized durability, moisture resistance and environmental protection to adapt to the hot and humid tropical weather. For guest room furniture, we selected high-quality solid wood multi-layer boards with low formaldehyde emission (below 0.05mg/m³), which are not only moisture-proof and anti-deformation but also meet international environmental standards. The upholstered furniture in guest rooms and public areas adopted high-density, wear-resistant fabric that is easy to clean, suitable for the high-frequency use of hotel scenarios. For the hotel’s restaurant and conference room furniture, we chose sturdy solid wood frames to ensure load-bearing capacity and long service life, meeting the hotel’s daily operational needs.

          In design, we abandoned complicated decorations and focused on simplicity, comfort and practicality. The guest room furniture, including beds, bedside tables, wardrobes and desks, was designed with reasonable dimensions to maximize storage space while ensuring free movement. The wardrobes were equipped with induction LED lights for convenience, and the bedside tables reserved sufficient charging ports to meet guests’ modern living needs. The public area furniture, such as sofas and coffee tables, adopted warm neutral tones, matching the hotel’s overall decoration style and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

           During production, we strictly implemented the “three-level quality control” process, from cutting and assembly to polishing and painting, ensuring every detail meets standards. We used electronic cutting machines to control errors within 0.5mm, and experienced craftsmen manually polished every corner to avoid burrs. Considering the long-distance transportation from China to Malaysia, we adopted shock-proof and moisture-proof packaging to ensure the furniture arrived intact.

           The installation team, with rich experience in international projects, arrived at the hotel on schedule, formulated a detailed installation plan, and completed the installation efficiently while protecting the hotel’s hard decoration. After installation, we conducted a joint acceptance with the hotel team, and all furniture met the predetermined standards.
