We chose solid teak and high-grade engineered wood with advanced anti-humidity treatment, ensuring stability against warping, swelling, or mold growth—critical in a region with high annual rainfall and consistent humidity. All wooden surfaces received a multi-layer waterproof, UV-resistant finish to withstand sunlight through floor-to-ceiling windows and balcony openings. For upholstery, we selected quick-drying, mold-resistant fabrics in warm, earthy tones—soft terracotta, muted gold, and deep emerald—echoing Singapore’s tropical flora and Peranakan color palettes. Outdoor balcony furniture used powder-coated aluminum and synthetic rattan, lightweight yet durable, resisting salt air and frequent rain while maintaining a refined, natural aesthetic.

      Design-wise, we infused subtle cultural artistry without overstatement, aligning with the hotel’s “artful living” ethosArtyzen. Guest room headboards featured delicate laser-engraved Peranakan tile patterns and sepia rickshaw motifs, paying homage to local heritage. Bed frames and console tables blended clean, modern lines with subtle colonial-inspired details—rounded edges, tapered legs, and matte brass hardware—mirroring the hotel’s arched entryways and verandas. Compact yet functional workstations integrated hidden cable management and USB charging ports, catering to business travelers, while low-profile lounge chairs maximized balcony space for enjoying city or garden viewsArtyzen. In public areas, modular seating with removable cushions combined comfort and flexibility, ideal for the hotel’s dynamic lobby and rooftop pool spaces.

      We also prioritized operational efficiency and space optimization, key for a boutique luxury hotel in a prime urban location. Furniture designs prioritized easy cleaning, stain resistance, and durable construction to handle high guest turnover. Modular pieces simplified installation and future rearrangements, while built-in storage minimized clutter in compact guest rooms—essential for maintaining the hotel’s sleek, uncluttered aestheticArtyzen.
